Meridian West announces the promotion of Alastair Beddow to Managing Director, effective today. He will take over the leadership of the firm from Ben Kent, who founded Meridian West in 2001. Ben will remain a Director and closely involved in the delivery of Meridian West client projects.
Alastair Beddow joined Meridian West in 2010, and has played a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s strategic research and implementation capabilities over the last eight years. Alongside Ben Kent, he is one of the co-authors of Professional Services Leadership Handbook, published in 2017.
Speaking of his new role, Alastair commented, “I am honoured to be taking on the mantle of Managing Director. The team at Meridian West are first class, and to have the opportunity to lead them into the next phase of the firm’s development is very exciting. I am also really pleased that Ben Kent – a true industry expert – remains a core part of our team.”
Also joining the Meridian West team this June are Helen Trudgeon and Emily Miller.
Helen joins in a newly created role of Head of Marketing and Business Development. She has more than 10 years of experience working with professional firms, including previously working at PM Forum and Managing Partners Forum. She will have responsibility for growing Meridian West’s core research and strategy work, and expanding its skills development offering.
Emily joins Meridian West’s team of consultants. She is a seasoned LinkedIn expert and trainer, with a track record of helping professionals and their firms to communicate better with their clients and win new business. Her book LinkedIn for Lawyers: Developing a Profile to Grow your Practice is regarded as a go-to resource for professionals looking to improve how they use social media.
